Get Music off ipod without itunes

hey, i have recently reformatted my computer only to lose all my music, but insted of re downloading it all i have found a way to get it off my ipod. here is how i got my music off my ipod.

1) go to http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ and download and install that software we will need it in a later step.

2) connect the ipod to the computer make sure you can see hidden files, if you dont know how to do this just google search "show hidden files". Open up the ipod in mycomputer, you will see a folder called ipod control, open it and inside will be another file called music copy it to your desktop.

3) once its done copying open it up, you will notice all the song names are like ljlj.mp3 to fix this right click on the music folder and select mp3 tag, then go to the rename feature on the taskbar, it will rename the file by default to artist name, song name, cd its off of, track number ect, you can edit this to your liking personally i just like artist name and song name, once it is done converting the song names you successfully have your music
