You want to buy a home, you do so and are thinking, "I did a good job - I can afford my payment and all is right in the world...". Then you get an additional Tax Bill or a notice about you needing to pay your Mello Roos or special assessments. What are these and how can you best protect yourself when buying a home? We make sure that all of our clients know up front, before we get too deep in the buying process, if there are special assessments or Mellow Roos on any of the properties that we are selling. It might make sense to the home buyer - but they will never know that is those fee's are hidden in order to close a deal.
